There are literally dozens of skins which allow you to change the way your Kodi looks and add features that are not available in the default skin.
You have installed the latest Kodi Krypton with its Estuary skin. You don't have to have just one skin like Estuary, you can even download and install a Kodi Krypton with Confluence as the skin!
Your new Krypton with its improvements can still look and act very like the older Kodi Jarvis 16. For all intents and purposes your new Kodi Krypton now looks almost the same as Kodi Jarvis with its default Confluence skin.
This link will guide you through it: http://www.wirelesshack.org/how-to-change-kodi-17-krypton-estuary-skin-to-kodi-16-confluence.html
You can also change the view of how your media library information looks on screen. You may have a tab to the left on your the Kodi/SPMC screen as in the picture to the left.
Click on the tab and there are even more options available for you to customize the view on your Kodi/SPMC screen. Click on "View" at the top of the pop out tab to change the "View". Don't like it, then click on View again till you find one which suits. I rather like "Fanart".
There are many different views from List, Wide List, Media Info, Fanart, Thumbnail, Full Wall and many more as well. It all helps so you can fully customize your Kodi/SPMC experience to be exactly the way you want it it to be.
Just Google "Kodi skins" and prepare yourself for an array of choices. You can even download and install skins from Indigo and Community Portal
Sick of the 'blue' background in Kodi? You can quickly change the background in Kodi's settings to a picture file you may have somewhere as in the screenshot below.
You can get the "Weather" tab to show a weather radar shot of the area where you live. Again, let Google be your friend!
Do a Google search for "Kodi top 10 skins" and see exactly what is available! And more than likely there will be a YouTube video to check out as well.
It is easy to revert to the default skin in your Kodi settings. You can switch between skins! If you don't like a skin, it is even possible to uninstall it.
Again let Google be your friend and do a search for "Krypton uninstall skin".
After you have been using the Kodi Default skin for some time you may find there are some features you would like to have on your Kodi/SPMC. That is when you begin a search for a skin which can be customized so you set Kodi/SPMC up just the way you like it.
